What is GTIN?
GTIN is the Global Trade Item Number (Global Trade Item Number), which is used as a unique global code to identify commodity items, and is the most widely used identification code in the coding system.
Before, Amazon eBay and other platforms have begun to require sellers to upload GTINs when creating products. Its role is to eliminate manual entry of product information, improve operational efficiency, and help to track inventory accurately.
So it is logical for TikTok to ask everyone to upload GTIN codes.
GTIN contains 4 different encoding rules: GTIN13, GTIN14, GTIN8, GTIN12, and the last number is the number of bits in different encodings. For example, GTIN12 is encoded as 12 bits.
How to use it in the store?

How to get GTIN?
There are two main ways to get it:
1. If you are a manufacturer yourself, but have not exported it before, you can learn about the registration application through the GS1 website, URL: https://www.gs1uk.org/
2. You are just a trader, you can ask for the corresponding supply chain
3. If there is no supply chain, you can buy it on a treasure (many Amazon sellers do the same, generally there is no problem). I tried to buy it. 10 yards are 3 yuan, that is, 3 cents each.
After the purchase, it will be automatically shipped. Note that the UPC 12-digit code is given. Add 0 to become the EAN code.
So the question is, how many codes do we need for a product?
